Department Of Pharmacology & Toxicology
The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology was established under the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the year 2010 and fully flagged off with lectures by 2012 with 12 students. The Department consists of Departmental members with expertise in various field of Pharmacology such as cardiovascular pharmacology, neuropharmacology, and immunopharmacology.
The Department in addition to all other departments in the Faculty is involved in the learning, teaching and research for students to become Pharmacists.
The department was first headed by Prof. Rashidat .O. Ayanniyi (2012-2017) after by Dr Oyeronke M. Aiyelero (2017-2020), then Pharm. Hidayah A. Abdul-Olumoh (2020-2022). The Department is currently headed by Dr Oyeronke M. Aiyelero since 2022. The department started a Masters degree (M.Sc.) in 2019.
